This snack mix combines two of my favorite snacks (pita chips and roasted garbanzo beans) with nuts, pretzels and a flavorful citrus blend. It’s great for parties and for taking with you on the go! You could substitute premade pita chips for the pita bread and add them to the recipe with the pretzels. Ingredients
- 1 can (15 ounces) garbanzo beans or chickpeas, drained and patted dry
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 pita pocket halves, cut into 1-in. squares
- 2 cups miniature pretzels
- 3/4 cup unsalted cashews
- 3/4 cup unblanched almonds
