Change can be hard. Like, REALLY hard. And while, Disney parks have already gone through so many changes over the decades, it can still be difficult to accept. You know what they say, though—when one door closes, another one opens! There’s almost always something new to look forward to in the aftermath of saying goodbye.
That’s why we’re keeping our hopes up this fall when we have to say goodbye to the Magic Kingdom’s “Happily Ever After” fireworks show at Disney World.
When Is the Magic Kingdom’s “Happily Ever After” Over?
The last day you’ll be able to watch the “Happily Ever After” show is September 29, 2021. For those of us that have experienced the masterpiece that is this Disney World fireworks spectacular, saying goodbye will be difficult. It’s a time-honored tradition to stay until dark to watch the show above Cinderella’s Castle. (Much like its a tradition to enjoy a Disney Dole whip on a hot summer day.)
Here’s the good news: Disney World is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. They already have plans to wrap the turrets and towers of Cinderella’s Castle in “earidescent” gold and blue ribbons to mark it as a magical beacon. That’s not all, either. There will be new better Disney World fireworks coming on October 1.
What Are the New Disney World Fireworks?
Look out for the “Disney Enchantment” show! It’s supposed to be an all-new fireworks extravaganza, with lighting, music and projection effects that will span all the way from Cinderella’s Castle to Main Street, U.S.A. It’s a part of Disney World’s “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of the park’s 50th Anniversary.
