Yesterday we went to skip inside a gigantic balloon made from used plastic bags. We walked along a soggy Highline afterward. We split chocolate chip cookies and showed off our jumping skills for patient tourists. We got too cold and one of us peed in our pants and another of us got momentarily lost, or bold, depending how you think of it. The subway ride home was thirty seconds too short and the walk home was two minutes to long, but then we put on sweatpants and felt much better.
Other things I will do in April:
+ Keep an eye on my chamomile seedlings.
+ Make a bowl like the one I watched that woman making on the subway.
+ Read the books I’ve taken out of the library.
+ Turn my face skyward at every opportunity.
+ Yell less.
+ Dance more.
+ Remember my sunglasses when I leave home.
+ Trim my bangs.
+ Do something about all the ripped leggings.
+ Actually figure out summer break. For real this time. Probably.
