American Airlines has launched its first miles sale of 2022, valid for purchases made through January 19.
American Airlines allows AAdvantage members to buy up to 150,000 miles before any bonuses that is sometimes increased. The account that purchases or receives the miles must have been open for a minimum of 30 days.

The lowest price American sold miles in 2020 was 1.72 cents, and in 2021 1.77 cents each.
Conclusion
This is a high price to purchase American Airlines AAdvantage miles, considering all the airline’s sales throughout the year. Unless you need AA miles NOW, I would wait for a better sale to resurface.
