These bonus miles rates rarely make any sense because they are tied to non-discounted rates. You are far better off by booking the lowest available rate and using the money saved to buy miles during frequent sales.

The United MileagePlus® 1,000 Bonus Miles (December 2021) promotion (“Promotion”) is available to individuals who are members of both the IHG® Rewards program and the United MileagePlus® program (“Eligible Member”). Under the Promotion, 1,000 United MileagePlus® bonus miles are awarded to Eligible Members for each Qualifying Stay at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts during the Promotion Period where the stay was reserved through an eligible booking and consists of at least two (2) consecutive nights. An Eligible Member may earn up to a maximum of 15,000 bonus miles in connection with this Promotion. The time needed for awarding miles can vary with each miles promotion, so please allow up to 6 weeks for the bonus miles to be posted to the designated account.
Eligible bookings are those made at participating IHG® Hotels and Resorts through the official United Airlines|MileagePlus® booking page, which may be accessed using the following link: https://www.ihg.com/content/us/en/deals/member-offers/unitedq4. Only bookings made between December 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022 for Qualifying Stays of at least two (2) consecutive nights, with a check-in date on or after December 1, 2021 and check-out on or before March 31, 2022 (“Promotion Period”), qualify as an eligible booking under the Promotion. United MileagePlus® members need to be registered as an IHG® Rewards member, and select United Airlines | MileagePlus as their earning preference located in their IHG® Rewards My Account, prior to check-in.
Qualifying Stays are stays booked under a qualifying rate. Note that multiple checkouts for consecutive nights at the same hotel will count as one (1) Qualifying Stay; non-consecutive qualifying nights at the same hotel may count as separate Qualifying Stays. In the event that two or more Eligible Members check-in to the same room, base miles and any bonus miles under this Promotion will only be credited to the account of the Eligible Member who made the booking. If an Eligible Member books more than one room at a hotel for the same or overlapping nights, they will receive bonus miles for this Promotion on only one of the bookings that qualify. No bonus miles will be awarded under this Promotion based on nights stayed prior to or after the Promotion Period.
Room types and rates may vary by region and by hotel and are subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply. Any unused components of a rate are non-refundable. Rates are per room, per night, and extra person charges and rollaway bed charges may apply. Rates do not include taxes, gratuities, or incidental charges, including food and beverages.
