Unsold.com advertised extremely heavily during the beginning of the current pandemic, highly discounted hotel packages that members could purchase and later use.
As is always the case with businesses such as this that take in the money upfront and promise to deliver the goods or services later, buyers should be aware. We noted this issue when Unsold.com was still happily promoting its packages on Facebook.

Now the Unsold.com has published the following update on its website:

Unsold.com has already refunded a large percentage of our customers. We would like to inform you that we hope to have everyone refunded in the next 90 days. We are 100% committed to refunding all customers and will deliver on that promise. We appreciate your continued patience during these unprecedented times of the pandemic and will process your refund as soon as possible coming up.
Unsold claims they HOPE to have everyone refunded in the next 90 days. I find this very difficult to believe, considering a comment like the one below that was left by a reader last week:

Regarding your association with unsold.com:
Unsold did not forward my payment to the New Zealand hotel that was booked in my name. This constitutes fraud.This leaves me with two choices.
1. Ask you : bookvip.com, for a refund of $xxxx, back to my credit card,
or:
2. – Make a complaint to the FBI about your business practices.
– Make a complaint to the Attorney general in Florida about your business practices.
3. Rate my experience with bookvip.com on numerous websites, including Google, TripAdvisor, etc.
Ob viously I would prefer you took Option 1, above.
Should you wish to take this option, I can provide you with my account details, and I will take no further action.Please see attached, my proof of payment, that I would like refunded.

I hope that readers who purchased products from Unsold.com that were not delivered follow the instructions I gave on the earlier piece to get their money back. Based on reader comments, it appears that those who have been persistent have received their money back.
There is something fishy going on with Unsold.com and some other websites, such as the BookVIP, which in the end, processed payment on Unsold’s behalf, per their emails, but first refused to refund them.
