Wyndham Rewards and Caesars Rewards have had a partnership since 2017 that has included matching status among the programs.
Wyndham Rewards has offered easy matches into its program that many used to merely get status with Caesars Rewards that came with a select set of benefits, such as complimentary parking, celebratory dinners, and a free stay at the Atlantis in the Bahamas.
Caesars Rewards has now downgraded accounts that were upgraded from Wyndham Rewards that hadn’t officially qualified (matched).
Here’s the email:
It looks like we tier matched your status through our partnership with Wyndham Rewards. However, we will be downgrading your account because you must have an earned Tier Status with your loyalty program to be successfully matched.
The good news is that there are many ways to reach a higher Tier Status with Caesars Rewards®. Earn Tier Credits when you shop, stay, play, dine and more!
Conclusion
All good comes to an end, especially loopholes that are publicized on every website.
Caesars Rewards intention with their partnership was not to match Wyndham Rewards accounts that themselves were matched, but those that had qualified traditionally.
Unfortunately, Caesars Rewards didn’t give any advance notice beyond sending an email to affected members that their accounts had been downgraded.
